Cartography

Cartography is a science that encompasses a set of studies and scientific, technical and artistic operations. Based on the results of direct observations or, alternatively, on the analysis of documentation, its objective is the production of maps, charts and other forms of expression or representation of objects, elements, phenomena and physical and socioeconomic environments. In addition, it is important to note that Cartography is also concerned with the use of these cartographic products.

Scales and Cartographic Production Techniques

We can produce cartographic products at various scales, from 1:500 to 1:10000. This allows for a wide range of applications and uses for these products. In addition, there are several techniques and technologies used in cartographic production, including orthophotomapping and aerial photography.

Digital Cartography

Digital Cartography is another important area. With the advancement of digital technologies, it has become possible to produce maps and other cartographic representations in a fully digital way. This allows for greater accuracy and flexibility in the production and use of these products.

Use of Drones/UAVs in Cartography

In Cartography, we have increasingly used Drone/UAV technology. These devices allow us to obtain high resolution aerial images that we can use in cartographic production.

Cadastre Cartography

Cadastral cartography is concerned with the representation of land properties and territorial boundaries on maps and other cartographic representations.
